Course Description:

This dermatology lecture series provides a practical review of common and clinically significant skin conditions encountered in daily practice. Through case-based discussions and visual examples, participants will learn to recognize, diagnose, and manage a variety of dermatologic presentations ranging from common cosmetic concerns to potentially life-threatening rashes. The course will also highlight recent advances in dermatology that are transforming patient care. By the end of the series, participants will gain improved diagnostic confidence and practical management strategies for a wide range of dermatologic conditions.

Learning Objectives: 

After this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify and manage common cosmetic dermatologic conditions affecting the face and differentiate them from other facial dermatoses.
  2. Recognize the differential diagnosis of round or annular rashes and apply appropriate diagnostic and treatment strategies.
  3. Diagnose and manage common dermatologic rashes frequently encountered in clinical practice.
  4. Identify dermatologic emergencies and dangerous rashes, recognizing key warning signs that require urgent evaluation and treatment.
  5. Discuss recent advancements in dermatology, including emerging therapies, technologies, and evolving treatment approaches.

Mode of Delivery:

1 hour of contact sessions through Zoom every other Sunday with the ability to view the content later online for self-paced learning.
