Course Description:

The purpose of our Neurocritical Care for Pakistani Physicians Course is to enrich the professional acumen of clinicians and healthcare providers involved in neurocritical care. This online series consists of 14 expert-led lectures, each 45 minutes long, delivered virtually to accommodate learning from anywhere at any time. Topics covered are extensive, ranging from coma and intracranial hypertension to traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injuries. Alongside pre-recorded lectures, the course offers live case presentations and Q&A sessions biweekly over seven months, promoting an active learning environment. This program is set to enhance the foundational training of general practitioners and specialists in Pakistan, especially those in regions with limited access to specialized care.

Course Objectives:

The Neurocritical Care for Pakistani Physicians course will enable the clinician to:

  1. Characterize diagnostic methodologies for acute neurologic injuries.
  2. Appraise evidence-based therapeutic options available for neurologic emergencies.
  3. Develop prognostic algorithms for neurologic emergencies sensitive to patient-centered outcomes.

Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Neurocritical care specialists, Healthcare providers specializing in neurology, Medical professionals with a focus on neurological disorders, General practitioners in Pakistan.

Course Outline & Mode of Delivery:

The course will be delivered through prerecorded lectures followed by Live Session (Q & A and case presentation through Zoom every two weeks with the ability to view the content online for self-paced learning. . The duration of the course will be seven months.
