DESCRIPTION
This course includes topics from different specialties like Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Genecology, hematology, nephrology, allergy, pulmonology, GI, Urology, hepatology and Geriatric to provide an outline of a holistic approach to evaluate and manage common issues seen in the primary care practice. The course will discuss recommendations on management by general practitioners, based on current guidelines and evidence-based medicine. We will use an active learning approach through live interactive sessions, assignments, and discussions. Faculty includes experts from the US, UK, Australia and Pakistan. This program will complement basic training and short courses offered in Pakistan for general practitioners to bridge the gap of specialty care, especially for those who are serving in underserved areas.

- Synthesize an appropriate diagnosis and management plan for common chronic conditions in primary care settings.
- Recognize his or her own practice limitations and seek consultation with other healthcare providers and resources when necessary to provide optimal patient care.
